Results: 2026 UK Puzzle Championships

Congratulations to Freddie Hand who has won this year's UK Puzzle Championship. Freddie finished both rounds in an amazing time of just over 1 hour 31, but an error in one puzzle didn't permit full marks. Rounding out the UK podium behind Freddie were James McGowan and Neil Zussman.

The championship was also open to international participation, with 5 participants correctly finishing both sets of puzzles within their 90 minute time limits. Top spot this year went to Walker Anderson with Ken Endo in second and Ulrich Voigt in third. A number of people did successfully complete one of the two rounds.

It feels like the standard of UK competition has really gone up a notch or two this year - I’m not used to be being as far down the leader table as 8th - and maybe 9th had Scott Cupitt done both rounds (another new name to me)

Congrats to Freddie, James and Neil - but I also want to say chapeau to an excellent result from Todd there, only narrowly behind Neil in 4th. Thanks as always to Liane for organising and for authors for an enjoyable set of puzzles!
