PUZZLE METHODOLOGY

Post by Gentleman Detective »

Good afternoon,

Firstly, I'm new here and would like to say hello!

Also, I would like to ask if you have any links to any webpages, blogs, vlogs or books which may help an absolute beginner learn techniques and methodology for solving puzzles. I'm interested in all types of puzzle and would appreciate any advice. At the moment, puzzles of the general IQ type are my main focus (Sorry if that's the wrong term.)

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

I advice to follow a youtube channel named cracking the criptic.
You can find a lot of sudoku solutions videos.

Meanwhile I developped a notation for sudoku. I am trying to make it worldwide language of sudoku splver and setters.

With our beginners league 'Division D', there is some discussion before each type on methods, examples etc. that is worth looking at. As long as a question doesn't relate to a puzzle in a 'live' competition you can also ask for advice on the forum and people will generally try to help.
