There were 12 UK solvers in the first round of Sudoku Mahabharat this year, and Freddie and Calum were very close, alongside Vincent, suggesting that next month's UK Open should be fun.

The top 8 mean that Aleksei and last year's semi finalist Pat Stanford both miss out.
