The results of the 2013 UK Puzzle Championship have been released (click here to see)
The winner was Neil Zussman, who correctly solved all 26 puzzles with over 6 minutes to spare.
Not only that, but he saw off a very high calibre field of international players to be overall winner too.
Well done Neil!
Therefore, the UK team for the 2013 World Puzzle Championship in Beijing is:
1) Neil Zussman
2) James McGowan
3) Tom Collyer
4) Thomas Powell
For the 2013 World Sudoku Championship, the team:
1) Tom Collyer
2) Michael Collins
3) Neil Zussman
4) Mark Goodliffe
Note: Steven Barge and David McNeill, having done extremely well in the qualification process, have indicated they are not available.
Congratulations to all of the above!
We have the option to submit a B-team for each championship in Beijing. B-team players will not feature on the official score-board, so really is for fun/experience.
First options for these teams are to those already travelling as part of the other A-team.
Other puzzlers interested in making up the numbers should let me know as soon as possible. Of those interested, those performing best in the relevant qualifying process will be selected.
If you are interested in being part of a B-team, please let me know as soon as possible (firstname.lastname@example.org)
UKPA announcements will be made here.
