The 2026 edition of the UK Puzzle Championship will take place earlier than previous and will be on the 11th - 15th June 2026
The contest will take place over two rounds that will be available simultaneously. The contest pages are available at:
Round 1: https://www.ukpuzzles.org/contests.php?contestid=77
Round 2: https://www.ukpuzzles.org/contests.php?contestid=78
Questions and discussion about the contest will take place here: https://forum.ukpuzzles.org/viewtopic.php?t=2838
As before - the Championship will also help determine qualification for the World Puzzle Championships in India in October. Official UK team selection is dependent on availability to travel, with two spots already nominally determined by the UK Open held earlier this year. Unofficial participation is also welcome.

Instructions booklets not available yet. They will be available by Friday.
Re: 2026 UK Puzzle Championship
Instruction booklet now available, both rounds are in the same booklet, so it doesn't matter which contest link it is viewed from.
Will update when points are available.
Will update when points are available.
Re: 2026 UK Puzzle Championship
Thought I'd posted this yesterday.
The points have been added to the instruction booklet and the time for each round will be 90 minutes.
I've corrected a few typos in the booklets.
Other changes include a change to the answer key for several puzzles. These are: 1.9 Heyawake (Domino), 2.5 Trio Cut, 2.6 Tapa Triomino, 2.7 Chained Block - For each marked row/column enter the number of consecutive cells that are shaded and unshaded. (I will accept the answer in the other format if someone enters that).
For the Mintonette I've amended the example to include "3" in each circle as a reminder of the number of turns required. The competition puzzle will have that too.
Apologies for the delay in getting this updated but was away all weekend.
I hope you all enjoy the competition.
