Congratulations to David McNeill, who has claimed a hat-trick of wins of the UK Sudoku Championship. David narrowly missed out on finishing the set of 16 mind-bending sudoku puzzles within 2 hours in a very strong performance, and now qualifies for the UK team at the World Sudoku Championships later this year in Beijing. Joining David on the team is runner-up Mark Goodliffe.

The championship was also open to international participation, and was contested at a remarkably high level. A total of 14 participants successfully finished the set of 16 puzzles, with Seungjae Kwak of South Korea narrowly edging out Jakub Ondroušek of the Czech Republic for overall victory. Congratulations Seungjae!
