Anurag has compiled a puzzle contest, that will be hosted on the UKPA site.

It contains 18 puzzles - some standard puzzle types, with variants.

Please, can you publish answer key descriptions for each puzzle? It's important to know it before the test.

Printer problems? Mine would only print out the first 6 pages, then I spotted the printing tips button when I selected the print. It said to select the advanced option and select the print as image option. It has worked for both this and the LMI set that wouldn't print for me the other week.

I suspect his time is devoted to IPST at the moment, which is as we know, quite time-consuming!

This contest will be going ahead this week.

A revised instruction booklet is now available from the contest page.
It includes points allocation per puzzle, and description of answer keys.

Password protected puzzle booklet will be available shortly.

Answer key formats are common for all puzzles of the same type.The format is described once,with the basic rule description.And answer keys are provided for 1 or 2 examples in each type.
All puzzles have 2 keys,except polygraph (3 rows) ,masyu(all rows) and heyawake(all rows).
The points are good indicators of the order in which you might wish to attempt the puzzles.
Total points = 91
The quicker solvers(provided you finish all puzzles) get a bonus: 1 point for each minute saved.

Important note on answer keys (in order to automatically register your answer as correct):

1) Separate each part of the answer key with a comma
2) Do not insert any other spaces or punctuation.

eg, "1234,2341" is good. "1 2 3 4; 2,3,4,1" is bad in lots of ways.
It may take some time before I can credit incorrectly formatted answers.

The first calcudoku requires just one column(no row to be entered)
Isosudoku requires two horizontal rows.

As I understood the rules, the loop must travel straight through the white circles and make a 90-degree turn on both cells next to the white circle (normal masyu rules require at least one turn, but not necessarily both).

Anurag, can you confirm?

I'm sorry PuzzleScot but i believe that i put many incorrectly formatted answers (and a stupid error in the Shape sudoku where i put two "3")

I just dont understand what I just read, I answered 9 of the puzzles correctly and was told that I had 0 provisional points. I know that that is wrong. FYI, every one without a comma was in green and everyone with a comma was in red, but still 0 points????

Tapa basic: there was a difference between what was accepted as a correct puzzle and what i drew in the final pdf.
5th row fisrt column has a (2).

Deformable masyu: The circle on 6th row last column must be black.

Recoverable tapa: The wrong answer is set in the server . Your correct answers will get points.

I'm not sure if I should put that in here but I can't send private messages but True-False Nurikabe has alternate solutions. I couldn't figure out why my answer key was incorrect till I figured that out,
