I thought that Eight Winds and Wranglers were kind of strange types to have on a round called Classics and Evergreens, but reading more about the competition the format guarantees there will be two lots of two "exploratory" variants on each and every round.

And I don't think anything more needs to be said about hitori ;-)

Round 1 results outs: http://logicmastersindia.com/PR/201901/score.asp

Despite some pretty challenging answer entries (oh and the puzzles themselves weren't trivial ;-) ), 4 of the 54 all-complete were UK based. Neil had a very strong showing in 7th overall, with James, Adam and me all bunched fairly tightly a little further down the table, with just the 12 Japanese solvers ahead of us

7 Neil Zussman 141.4
35 James McGowan 112.2
37 Adam Bissett 111.4

In need half of Ken Endos time for entering the answer keys. Disgusting.

Would be nice to know, how much time Ken needed for entering the answer keys. ;)

Round 2 happening this weekend. It looks kind of fruity to me at first glance, so well worth familiarising yourself with the IB before starting. There's also a bunch of corrections in the forum post
