http://www.martinhwatson.co.uk/monthly_ ... party.html has the details. Capital types should investigate further, particularly those with an interest in practicing their mechanical skills for possible rounds at the WPC. That page does not seem terribly up-to-date, but another "Puzzle News" page on the same site suggests that the hundredth such monthly party was held in October 2011, so it must still be live and kicking. The events are run by the proprietor of Village Games in Camden Lock, which is always worth a visit.
Arguably this is a shade tangential to the core activity of the UKPA, but it's the sort of thing that has cropped up in the WPC from time to time, and another reminder of how many different things "puzzle" can mean to different people.
