Puzzle book for 9/10 year old?

Any recommendations for a puzzle book for a (very bright) nearly-10-year-old? Apparently my niece is spending a lot of time doing sudokus, and as she has no requests for Christmas, I'd like to get her something that introduces her to a few other puzzle types, but I'm not sure what's best for a young beginner. (I will print off the beginner contests, of course, but printouts probably don't cut it as a Christmas present.)

It's not exactly different puzzle types, just more varied sudoku, but I reckon "Mutant Sudoku" by Thomas and Wei-Hwa would be suitable for an enthusiastic youngster.

Perhaps Gareth doesn't want to blow his own trumpet, but his magazines might be just the thing? He has some books too.

I have two suggestions.

If they're new to doing logic puzzles and so on then I'd recommend starting with Kids' 10-minute Brain Workout - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kids-10-Minute- ... 190515853X . This features very small and easy Masyu, Hashi, Slitherlink and other 'Japanese' puzzles, alongside some more traditional material too. But certainly if you want to get them interested in the kind of puzzles you do, it's a good start. However they may find it too easy, so:

For a much greater challenge if you move up to The Mammoth Book of Brain Workouts - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mammoth-Book-Fu ... 1849014345 - then that's full of all sorts of puzzles including many different logic ones. It's in full colour and has 352 pages, and if they can do every puzzle in there then they're a really very clever 10 year old! :)

Great suggestions - thanks. I didn't want to over-face her with anything too tricky to start with.
