Nikoli Hurdles

Greetings UKPA, We are experiencing a flood of puzzles recently and I’m here to contribute more to that. About two weeks ago, I announced the beginning of Nikoli Hurdles – a little competition held in my blog. 8 Nikoli puzzles to be solved in order (just like my previous Code Road). Anyone who makes...

Re: 24hr Puzzle Championship 2012

Usually they're efficient with results. Last year they posted partial results as the competition takes place. And announced the fnal results not long after it ended. Puzzles, however, come a little later. They have to wait for all the constructors' permission and all. Based on the last two editions ...

Re: 24hr Puzzle Championship 2012

What Nikola and Hideaki did in past years is that they simulated the competition and blogged about it.

Expect not only logic, but visual and word puzzles as well. This is the only place I’m publicizing the competition since it isn’t so langua...

Re: Online UK Open Championships 28th April to 6th May

I was wondering how you'd make the answer keys (for online solving) for the word search - since I didn't have the 'find the missing word' kinda thing going on.
And then I saw 'write the direction of the first four words found'. I had to laugh  Very sneaky.

Re: UKPA Puzzle Cruise (2-3 July 2011)

Sorry about the presentation of some puzzles - most of these were done on paint which explains the comical quality. I'll find a more realistic program to present the puzzles in the future so if anyone knows anything good I would love to know. Thank you for all constructive feedbacks. [[[[[Bermuda Tr...

Re: UKPA Puzzle Cruise (2-3 July)

In #15 Ship Sudoku - Say a given 4-cell long ship is marked 1234, it can appear as 1234 or 4321 (horizontally or vertically). But not, 4231, 1324.... etc. To be honest I can't imagine how you can actually reflect a ship, it was entirely on instinct typing "... but not reflected" right after "...can ...
