Re: 2015 USPC and Sudoku Team Qualifying Test

Wow. that was fun!
I think I might have a few points slashed away from the very nitpicky answer keys.
But this is still one of my favourite puzzle tests lately.

How did everyone do?

Re: UK Puzzle Championship 2015

Nicely done!
Looks like we'll be seeing several of Nikola's practice material for 24HPC ;)
Looking forward to the puzzles.
Also the Tapa example is incorrectly credited to me, it is Serkan's.

[SOTR] - Manila

Hello UKPA! I have another contest going on at SOTR. It is based on a boardgame called "Manila". There are 9 puzzles to solve, all logic with the exception of one wordfind. According to several entrants; this is the hardest event to date. :? There are three prizes up for grabs. Winners will receive ...

Re: 2015 Puzzle GP

Just finished Round 3's Puzzle GP. I have to say the round had just became one of my all-time favourites. Great format, great variety and all-round nice puzzles. The 6-puzzles-of-each-type gimmick was brilliantly executed. Easy puzzles weren't too obvious and the hard puzzles were very fair and didn...

Re: Puzzle Marathon 2015 - LMI

How is the marathon going for everyone? With a few puzzles left, I can't see what's been said in the LMI forums yet. But so far, I'm already battered. Personally, I find a couple of these puzzles a little too guess-y to be fun. Maybe it is just the marathon format. But, ugh, there's at least one puz...

Re: 15th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship

If I do go, I'll definitely join a team at the Budapest's exit-game. Speaking of which, I went to the Escape Hunt Experience (a different franchise from the one in Hungary) with 2 other friends yesterday. We annihilated the existing record of 38 minutes with our time of 27 minutes! The puzzles weren...

[SOTR] Sudoku Excavation

Hello UKPA, I would like to invite all keen sudoku solvers to "Sudoku Excavation". Briefly, there are 15 sudoku puzzles to solve and you use their answers to dig a field for fossil pieces. When you have collected all the pieces, they combine to make one final puzzle. Solve that final puzzle to be in...

Re: [SOTR] July Puzzle Giants

31 correct entries for the Masyu. :!:
The 3rd puzzle has been released today.
It is a giant Snakes grid containing 5 snakes: Schlange, Slitherlink Snake, Finnish Snake, Sigma Snake and Sea Serpent.

The answer key is quite yucky on this one. Feel free to ask for any clarifications.
Have fun!

Re: [SOTR] July Puzzle Giants

23 solvers attempted the Mastermind Tapa which is now closed.
The puzzle for the next 8 days is a Giant Masyu.
You can see that here: http://roygbivpuzzles.wordpress.com/argus-panoptes/

I'm sure this is a lot easier than the last one. :P

Happy Easter UKPA, I've started another event (Anchors Aweigh) at my blog. Anchors Aweigh includes 7 Battleship puzzles (and its variants). Same mechanism as usual, starting at Puzzle 1 - the answer to that will open Puzzle 2. The answer to Puzzle 2 will open Puzzle 3 and so on. In the end, one luck...

A little side note. The example for Spiral Battleships is credited to Serkan Yurekli.
