Re: UKPA Sudoku Championship 2013 (On-line event)
It is very difficult to make our contest engine as featured and smooth as the LMI version, of which I am in complete admiration! Hi Alan, I was in no way trying to compare any system and your answer assures me that I am where I should be on the points table :) The site and the system worked wonderf...

Re: UKPA Sudoku Championship 2013 (On-line event)
First of all Congrats to Kota for winning it handsomely and to David for winning the UK Championship. The test was really good. I know a lot of people might think it to be very easy but I would like to say that when you are creating a contest with a dual purpose(WPF GP and the UK Championship), I th...

Hi. I have just finished the sudoku mania competition. I did not know how to write the answers in chessdoku. I also did not find anything about it in instruction booklet. I decided to write K for King, Q for Queen and C for Knight. The system counted it as an error. Could you help me? Thanks. And b...

I can't say how janoslaw would do these days, since he hasn't competed in a long time (Sudoku Cup 4 was the last and only sudoku test we both took I think?). I know he got very busy with WPC work, but I imagine when he comes back he will be a close rival again. I'm also at least 20% faster at home ...

Re: Rishi Puri's SudokuMania (12-13 Mar 2011)
Are the instructions for sequence sudoku correct? It says numbers on chains must be in arithmetic progression. Is that right? That means with a constant difference between them. If that is what it means shouldn't that be made a bit more explicit? Gareth, You are right... there has to be a constant ...

Re: Double Delight - February Monthly Sudoku Contest at LMI
I've churned out the puzzle logically now Rishi, although thanks for the link. There's lots of stuff with how the anti-knight constraint plays with the diagonal, but it was by no means quick solving at all. I can't imagine anyone - even Thomas - got that out in time without having to guess though. ...

Re: Double Delight - February Monthly Sudoku Contest at LMI
A few more comments I'd like to make: - I thought the size of the printed puzzles was a bit small, especially so with the killers where some of the cages I had to double check on screen. - I should really not do the puzzles in order - clearing up the first half quickly meant that when I got stuck o...
