Nice one Liane!
Yeah, the star battle one had me for 45 minutes... It's a neat idea for a puzzle, and I liked it though.
This next round will be intense.

Here are the instructions and examples for the Round 5 puzzles, which are Nanro and Yajilin classics and variants. Please ask any questions you might have below. The competition puzzles will be held over the weekend of 9th and 10th of May. Sorry, I'm a bit late to seeing the example puzzles for the...

Re: 2022 WPF Puzzle GP
Preliminary results are out UK people in the top 100: 6. Freddie Hand - 743 39. Neil Zussman - 587 44. Sam Cappleman-Lynes - 564 I liked the selection of puzzles except maybe the starry sky (stars and arrows one). I've never seen Satogaeri (the one with the circles being dragged to regions) before b...

Re: Hello from Glasgow!
Hi Lumen! Wow, you've taken the exact same academic path (maths&cs->cs) as me so far. Good luck with it. Although I'm a bit further south than Glasgow
Hope to see you around!

Re: 2022 WPF Puzzle GP
Veeeeeery fed up with this round :( I spent the majority of my time on the first puzzle which I finally seemed to finish after almost an hour, only to realise my solution didn't work. Still working on it but like I said........... Feeling extremely annoyed. The second unknowns tapa (puzzle 11) was r...

Re: Puzzle Ramayan 2022
Oh that is pretty good actually, I didn’t do the first round because I was busy so I’ll try and get the others. Should probably start putting these things in my calendar since I don’t check all the puzzle websites every day like I used to.

Re: Humble Bundle
I just bought them and had a flick through. Some of them are like mathematical textbooks but on really interesting topics, which I look forward to carry on reading (especially the dots and boxes one). And some of them are actually puzzle books. Although, the only puzzle book I actually tried so far ...

Re: Division C and B 2021-22
I didn't get a chance to look at the IB until last night. There's a lot of variations so I'm excited. And some of them seem like they might be hard, so hopefully I don't get stuck! Good luck to everyone!

Re: UKPA club nights - questionnaire
Yay! :D I had one issue with the questionnaire, which was asking what days I can't do. I had to select at least one. So, I put Tuesday arbitrarily but I really can do any day, at least for online meet ups. If the meet ups will be in London when they're back on in person, then I'd probably attend les...

It's been like a month since the last one, and we've got the Yajilin contest this weekend, so maybe we can meet tomorrow?

Re: UK Sudoku Championship 2021
For the renban groups example, in the middle shaded region, it contains the numbers 1-9 excluding 7. Does that mean that 1 and 9 are considered adjacent consecutive?

Re: [Mystery Theme] Puzzle Contest by IHNN & Eric Fox (June 3rd-9th)
I enjoyed it! It was interesting to see that most people opted for the square grid puzzles. I went entirely for the hexagonal ones. I love these kind of variations! And they were all challenging, too!

Re: Division C 2020-2021
I’m really excited for this round! I don’t know if some of these variations are original, but I really like the rule of 6 and socially distant minesweeper, as well as the triangle minesweeper rules. Although, I think in the instruction booklet, the socially distant and triangle minesweepers do not h...

Re: UKPA Skyscrapers Contest 25 February - 2 March 2021
I enjoyed the puzzles and got more finished than I expected! However I entered the wrong column key for one of the higher points puzzles I did... I guess I won't make that mistake so easily again :? The parkour puzzle was super fun. I was afraid it would be too difficult but actually it was a good d...

Re: 2021 WPF Sudoku and Puzzle GPs
Not such a good round for me either. I guess I just wasn't feeling it, since I broke some puzzles and it was discouraging for the rest of the event. Not only that but my printer was starting to run out of ink, though I doubt that affected my times.

Yikes! I wonder if they’ll release those extra puzzles after the competition. Or if those puzzles actually exist.
