Re: 2017 Sudoku GP

I spent way too long on my first puzzle - knew it hadn't gone particularly well, and was frankly impressed I had not dropped even further. I, too, found it a difficult round (but that might be largely based on that first puzzle).

Re: 2017 Sudoku GP

I did wonder what had happened to Tom!
I failed to divide 6 by 3 correctly (twice!) and hence Mark has taken the lead on points...

Re: 2017 Puzzle GP

I agree to some extent - I found the C puzzles really difficult (and made the daft mistake of not looking at the points before answering so blew all my time on the low and risky pointers). Also most of the points go on a single puzzle type, which is unfortunate. However, on the plus side, they were ...

Re: The Times Sudoku Championship 2015

Echoing enormous congrats to Tom, also to David, Mike and Mark for making the final (and kicking myself for not...!). Personally, though, I enjoyed the day and highly recommend it. Also doing the final on the train on the way home was pretty good.
I now have Sudoku grids in my head...

Re: UK Sudoku Championship 2015

:) Just got back from holiday... I really enjoyed this one - thanks for the puzzles, Tom! Particularly liked the secret code (some sneaky bits) and killer - though you're right, Mark, I didn't do it in the comp. I looked at it for about 10 seconds and moved on! Did it the other day just before bed a...

Re: 2015 Sudoku GP

I actually thought the consecutive quads in the competition was pretty easy - although I left it til afterwards having got totally stuck on the one in the instruction booklet.
It's very interesting which rounds we as a country seem to do well on...
