Re: PortaPuzzle Jigsaw Storage

You can but grip matting online, or even at some supermarkets. Not that expensive, and might help.

Re: Experienced solver, novice quick-solver

Welcome Chris!

There's plenty practice material here for you.
Perhaps head to the contests tab on the main site, and try the old UK sudoku (and puzzle!) championships.

Yes, hope to see you, and many more new puzzlers, at the 2019 Open events!

Re: New here

Hi Gav, Sorry to see nobody has replied to you yet... First, welcome! If you are prepared to challenge yourself, and start exploring the myriad of puzzle types in existence, then a very good starting point would be past competitions, perhaps search for 'beginners' so as not to be too overwhelmed at ...

Re: PuzzleUp

The puzzles are all mathematical. Usually quite enjoyable to solve. My only gripe is the answers are never published. There is an explanation on the site of why this is so. The Finnish snake, I managed to rule out a few squares on the corners of the diagonally adjacent givens. Then it broke. What does the finished snake look like?
The solution booklet is now available on the competition main page.

Can you find similar document for Sudoku competitions?
I think the full results of all WSC championships (along with all WPCs since 2010) are in the WPF newsletters on the WPF site.

If anyone reads this far, spoilers really needn't be necessary. OK, I can see where the 200 comes from. If: 1) No bees die! 2) and his counting is out. At the end of the 19th day, there are 179 bees <=4 days, and 21 > 4 days. I suppose technically he says "how many bees" rather than "how many live b...
